Compare the four food profiles
| Profile | Direction in our range | Application to evaluate |
|---|---|---|
| Raw | Unroasted option | Beverages, powders and snacks |
| Light | Caramel profile | Bakery, cereals and dairy alternatives |
| Medium | Rounded cocoa-like profile | Confectionery, coatings and frozen desserts |
| Dark | Deeper colour and roasted notes | Recipes seeking a more pronounced roasted profile |
Choose by the finished product
The product names describe options in our range; they do not define a universal roast scale shared by every supplier. Compare a sample with your own sensory and colour reference. Final colour is confirmed against the approved sample and batch documentation.
If two profiles appear suitable, evaluate them in the same recipe and process. Keep the inclusion level and other ingredients comparable so differences between trials can be assessed meaningfully.
A practical comparison brief
- Identify the finished product and its intended flavour and colour.
- Name the profiles being compared and their sample or lot identifiers.
- Record the inclusion level, process conditions and mixing sequence.
- Assess the finished product, including any storage period relevant to your project.
- Select an approved reference and confirm the specification for repeat supply.
Keep pet-food qualification separate
Our range also includes a Pet Food profile at 75 / 105 µm. Identify the intended pet-food application and grade in the request. A profile name alone is not approval of a finished feed recipe or a substitute for your qualification process.
Next step: sample and documents
Request a 500 g technical sample and specify the roast profile and application. Ask for the current technical data sheet and batch CoA before approving the material for supply. Use the same profile reference in the later commercial request.
