What the particle-size description means
75 µm identifies the fineness program in our product range. The technical profile on our main site states ≥98% passing through a 75 µm sieve (US No. 200). Request the current specification and test method to confirm the acceptance criterion for the material you are qualifying.
A sieve-passing requirement and a laser-diffraction percentile are different specifications. Do not treat the listed sieve value as an unprovided D50, D90 or D96 result. Ask for the method and available particle-size data if your process requires them.
Roast and fineness are separate choices
| Choice | Program | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Food profiles | Raw · Light · Medium · Dark, 75 µm | Approved roast reference and current specification |
| Pet-food profile | 75 / 105 µm | Required grade, fineness and intended use |
| Sample | 500 g technical evaluation | Selected profile and requested documents |
Build a useful application trial
Use the sample in the intended recipe and process rather than judging the powder only by its appearance. Record the selected profile, inclusion level, mixing sequence and process conditions so the trial can be compared with a reference.
For a beverage, include dispersion, sedimentation over the intended observation period and sensory assessment in the trial brief. For a coating or spread, include mixing behaviour, texture and colour. These are evaluation points, not a published guarantee of suspension stability or texture in every formulation.
Documents to request with the sample
- Technical data sheet for the exact roast profile and grade.
- Particle-size criterion, method and available results.
- Batch CoA, identifying the lot to which the results apply.
- Allergen information and handling or storage instructions relevant to your qualification file.
Agree the specification before industrial supply
Confirm the final limits, methods, packaging and destination requirements with Carob Orchards. The public program helps you select a sample; the current agreed specification and lot documents define the material you approve.
