Carob powder for plant-based beverages

Our beverage and dairy-alternative program lists raw and light 75 µm carob profiles for projects such as oat, almond and soy drinks. Qualify the ingredient in the intended formulation and process, including how the drink will be served and stored.

Tell us which drink you are developing

A ready-to-drink product and a powder intended for preparation by the consumer have different evaluation conditions. Specify the base, preparation instructions, processing equipment and desired flavour and colour. This lets the sample discussion start from the intended product rather than a general ingredient claim.

Raw and light are starting profiles in the current program, not a requirement to use one profile in every beverage. Compare the samples against your reference and ask for the specification and available particle-size data for the chosen material.

Define the observation before the trial

Define the observation before the trial
QuestionRecord for the comparison
How is it prepared?Powder addition, mixing sequence, equipment and preparation conditions
What happens during processing? The thermal and mechanical steps used in the intended process
What is evaluated?Colour, roasted notes, texture and the sensory reference
When is it observed?Defined observation times, storage conditions and preparation or shaking instructions
What counts as acceptable?Your target for dispersion, settling and finished-product acceptance

Fineness is one part of the evaluation

Our public technical profile lists a sieve criterion for the 75 µm program. Confirm the current specification and method with the team. The nominal program alone is not a guarantee of suspension stability or performance through every heating, mixing or storage process.

Record dispersion and settling over the period relevant to your project. If a sample is approved, retain the profile and lot reference with the recipe and process record so the later supply specification can be matched to the evaluation.

A beverage sample brief

  • Ready-to-drink product, drink powder or another preparation format.
  • Base ingredient and intended consumer preparation.
  • Target colour, flavour direction and trial inclusion levels chosen by your team.
  • Mixing, processing and storage conditions to be evaluated.
  • Selected profile and the documents required for ingredient qualification.

Request the material and its documents together

A 500 g technical sample is the starting evaluation format in our program. Request the current technical data sheet, allergen information, handling guidance and relevant batch CoA. Commercial quantity, packaging and delivery terms should be confirmed after the profile and specification are agreed.

Discuss your application

Tell us the profile, application and destination. Our team can help with the sample and documents for your qualification process.
