Choose the grade for the intended application
Name the Pet Food profile in the request and confirm whether your qualification brief calls for 75 or 105 µm material. Do not substitute a food profile or select a grade solely because two powders look similar. Ask the team to confirm the offered material and documents for the intended use.
The range identifies an ingredient application. It does not approve a complete feed recipe, establish a feeding amount or demonstrate acceptance by every animal. Those decisions belong to your product-development and qualification process.
Prepare a product-specific trial brief
| Project | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Dog biscuit or baked treat | Recipe objective, powder profile, mixing and baking conditions |
| Coated or filled treat | Desired appearance, recipe format and coating or filling process |
| Other pet-food format | Animal and product category, processing route and qualification requirements |
| Supply qualification | Required fineness, specification, pack, volume and destination |
Keep ingredient and finished-product approval separate
Request the current specification, composition information, handling documents and batch CoA for the exact grade. Match the sample and documents to a clear material or lot reference before approving supply.
Your team should assess the complete recipe, intended use and destination requirements. This guide does not give veterinary advice, a nutritional claim, a therapeutic outcome or a universal inclusion rate. Product and analytical requirements can be discussed with Carob Orchards as part of the qualification brief.
Record what the trial actually establishes
- Material, grade, fineness and sample or lot reference.
- Recipe and tested inclusion level selected by your development team.
- Mixing, forming, baking or other process conditions.
- Finished-product appearance and texture against your target.
- Any additional assessments required by your product team, with their own method and acceptance criteria.
